How do I format content on 3BL?
When formatting content on 3BL we use the following standards and guidelines.
Headlines
- All headlines will be formatted in AP style title case
- Any hyperlinks or styling such as italics or bold font will be removed from the headline
Press Releases
All press releases will include a slug at the beginning of the text

The date when content is distributed by 3BL and “/3BL /” are mandatory

Including a location is optional

The slug will be formatted per AP style guidelines as follows: <LOCATION>, <date>, /3BL/ -
Repurposed Articles
If we are republishing an article from another source we will abide by Fair Use Guidelines unless we have permission from the original publication to post the content in full. Fair Use Guidelines are as follows:

Title must be the same as the original publication

Byline must be in the subtitle field (if applicable)

Must include a line at the beginning that states: Originally published on ___

No more than 10% of the article can be used

Must link to the original article at the end, e.g. “Click here to continue reading on ___
Body Text

Any emojis will be removed
Multimedia

All images will include “alternate text.” This text will be used by screen readers, search engines, or when the image cannot be loaded. Our team will add alternate text if none is provided.
